Shower games: Love 'em or hate 'em?

Jen @ SecondCitySoiree Yesterday I went to a very nice, low-key baby shower. There was good food, cute presents, nice company...and NO GAMES. The mama-to-be is not really into games, and to be perfectly honest, I'm not either. Well, that's not entirely true. There are two that I don't mind too much:
1) Prior to the gift-opening session, everyone guesses how many times "CUTE!" will be exclaimed while Mama is opening presents. Keep track of how many times it's said, and whoever's closest wins a cool prize. (Fancy candle, set of olive oils, or whatever type of item your group would like to receive)
2) Gift bingo. Easy, and keeps everyone involved. Use her registry as a guide in making up the squares and again, give a prize that your crowd will appreciate.
But outside of that, I don't need to guess what type of baby food is in the jar or (shudder) what kind of melted candy bar is in the diaper. I was discussing this on Twitter with @eCelebrating @LetsEntertain and @RexandRegina and we came to the same conclusion...shower games seem to be on the wane.
What about you? What do you think?

I totally agree - NO GAMES! I once played a game where I had to match celebrity baby names to the celebrity parents and that wasn't so bad. But all the ones you mentioned (sorry - I don't even like the bingo!), plus the wrapping TP around the mom to be (hi! can we just make her feel worse about how fat she feels!?) are so annoying. I prefer just good food, good drinks (booze for the non-preggers!) and good conversation.
Never played games in the "old" days.
Shower games aren't nearly as much fun as chatting with friends, meeting new people, and enjoying the food & atmosphere. I think showers can be a beautiful expression of love towards the mother-to-be or bride-to-be and find games often cheapen this experience. So my vote? NO GAMES!
