Jen @ SecondCitySoiree Let's say you're an adventurous foodie who loves to travel...and you have several problems:
1) You'd like to cook a meal inspired by country X, but have never attempted the cuisine
2) You want to have friends over for said meal, but are worried about impending failure
3) You don't have time to research what's easy (and authentic)
4) You wish to include appropriate tabletop decor, but don't have any
Enter Destination Dinners. These "recipe kits from around the world" make dipping your toe into a foreign land's culinary pool a little less intimidating. You can purchase just the recipe kits (instructions, trivia, spices, sauces and other non-perishables...you're on your own for buying the veggies and protein), just the tabletop accoutrement, or go for the whole shebang with a dinner party kit (serves 4). At $60 for a dinner kit, it's considerably less than a night out, even after you factor in additional ingredients!
