Real Soirees: delightfully retro Pinup Bachelorette Party

In general, I'm not a huge fan of bachelorette parties.  Maybe I'm getting old and cranky, but the appeal of running around town with a boa and a light-up pin that spells "BRIDE" has been lost on me.  This Real Soiree by reader Kerry of Unexpected Delights, though, is the sort of bachelorette party I'd be happy to attend!

Kerry organized this cheeky and fun day for her friend about to tie the knot.  The highlight was a hair, makeup, and photography session...1940s pin-up style.  Doesn't that sound like a blast?  Peep the details below, plus see more photos on Kerry's blog.

I literally started screaming when I opened the invitation from Kerry to my bachelorette party and read "Pin Up Party." It was perfect - we had so much fun and felt so unbelievably glamorous when we were made into Pin Up girls! It was the prefect event to celebrate my upcoming wedding.
