Once upon a time, a little book spawned six sequels, and they all sold lots of copies, and then there were seven (eventually eight) films based on the books, which lots of people went to go see. Young and old alike loved the story of the orphaned boy-who-lived. Between all the book-reading and movie-going, an empire was born.
