Posh Citrus & Almond Cocktail

Last month, EFFEN Vodka invited me to their Art of Design event, which featured a mixology contest.  My favorite was the concoction by Team Orange (Luis Herrera of Spybar and David Sikora at Roscoe’s). They got second place...great job, guys!

With its citrus and almond flavors, the EFFENICE is a bit like a grown-up Amaretto Stone Sour. (Sidebar: you're not still ordering those, are you? If you're over 25, it's time to find a new "usual".)

It also contains one of my favorite ingredients, St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, which I may have mentioned a time or two before...  ;)
 
 

"EFFENICE"
1 oz EFFEN Vodka
½ oz St. Germain
¼ oz Apple Pie Spice
¼ oz Almond Syrup
1½ oz Sour Mix
 
Mix all ingredients and shake well with ice. Pour in a chilled martini glass and garnish with lime and lemon peels.
