An Olympic idea - Après-Ski Party!

Jen @ SecondCitySoiree Today I'm going to elaborate on a great idea from the High Rise Hostess blog - an Après-Ski Party for the Olympics. Now, I am not a very good skier. I just don't enjoy it very much, or really, any activity where my foot is all slippy-slidey. (Anyone want to analyze that?) It will probably come as no surprise, however, that I do enjoy après-ski, or "after ski"...the act of sitting around in your cute alpine clothing in front of a fire, warm drink in hand.
I know, you're shocked.
Anywho, check out High Rise Hostess for more city-style hostessing tips, and start planning your own après-ski! Here are four things to get you started...

Birch Pillar candles, $5.99-$7.79 at Kohl's
Fondue by Martha Stewart (and here are some fun fondue party "rules")
My Orange-Chocolate Truffle drink
Faux Sheepskin Throw, $99.00 at Pottery Barn
For more Olympic inspired cocktails, peruse these creations on Slashfood, concocted by some clever Vancouver mixologists. If you're more of the visual type, set out five small pitchers of cocktails whose colors bear a strong resemblance to a certain trademarked Olympic image.....

Blonde in Blue, Black Russian 100, El Presidente, Yellow Bird, Green Carnation

We ate a cheese fondue yesterday for dinner. My husband and I love that. It's funny since I have a red Le Creuset fondue pot like that.
