Cinco de Mayo inspiration from Chicago chefs
This week on Chicagonista, I've put together a delicious Cinco de Mayo menu. All dishes are courtesy of outstanding local Mexican chefs Rick Bayless (Frontera), Freddy Sanchez (Adobo Grill), and Priscilla Satkoff (¡Salpicon!). Read on for my suggestions and pull yourself out of the chips and salsa routine. (And for heaven's sake, don't do what I did one year and go to an Irish pub for Cinco de Mayo. That meal continues to haunt my foodie dreams.)

It's funny that you mentioned going to an Irish pub for Cinco de Mayo. Joe and I actually threw that one out there when we were waiting to get some Mexican food at Cesar's (not terribly authentic, I know, but I wanted some tamales!). He had mentioned going to Fado... Now I guess I should be glad I didn't :)
