Eat, Pray, Love Party

I'll admit...like most women in the 25-40 demographic, I loved the book Eat, Pray, Love and I'm excited for the movie!  Hosting a pre-movie get together?  The book's three locations provide plenty of menu and decor inspiration...

EAT: Italy
Thin Crust Pizza

Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato

PRAY: India
Eagle-eyed Second City Soiree readers will recognize these photos from our Sex and the City 2 party, but they work for this, too!  Surround your space with colorful prints reminiscent of India.  With fragrant incense burning and modern sitar music playing, your guests might think they've wandered into an Indian ashram.

Wow! My sweetie and I had our own Eat Pray Love soiree right at home, during the month of July. I took all of the photos, and he did most of the cooking but we we both said our grace before every meal (as we normally do)...and we are planning on traveling. Has anybody out there quit or changed their jobs as a result of the movie's influence? In a nutshell, I can't wait to read the book and see this movie which is out in theaters starting today! Best wishes to all...
